Electrical Nominee Course

Duration: 5 consecutive weekdays

The Electrical Licensing Board and regulator LGIRS have endorsed this program at a level of training that is consistent with the minimum requirements for individuals seeking to be licensed as an Electrical Nominee.

A reasonable level of computer literacy is required to complete the assessment for this course.

IMPORTANT: You MUST be an unrestricted WA electrical licence holder to complete this course.

The course takes place over 5 days (Monday – Friday).
Class Time: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Course Module

  • WAE200 - Electrical Operational Requirements (Electrical Nominee)
    • Investigate and identify State Legislation relevant to electrical operations
    • Analyse legislation and apply it to business procedures
    • Apply statutory technical and occupational requirements
    • Standards of electrical work, notices, certificates, and reporting
    • Inspection, testing, and commissioning procedures
    • Inspection and testing of electrical appliances
    • Safety and supervisory procedures in electrical environments
    • Checking and testing installations

AS/NZS Standards

Electrical Contractors are required to refer to the appropriate Standards when undertaking licensable work. Students will have electronic access to these Standards in the classroom.

Important Information

Kindly note that the course fee will increase from 1 July 2026. Payments received on or before 30 June 2026 will be charged at the current rate, while payments received after this date will be subject to new pricing.

Language, Literacy & Numeracy Requirement (LLN)

Participants must have general (Level 2) language, literacy, numeracy, and physical capabilities to meet the performance criteria of this unit. Please contact the office if you have any concerns.
