Management Representative Course (Electrical Contractor – Business Portion)

Duration: 5 consecutive weekdays

The Electrical Licensing Board and regulator DEMIRS have endorsed this program at a level of training that is consistent with the minimum requirements for individuals seeking to be the Management Representative within an electrical contracting business.

A reasonable level of computer literacy is required to complete the assessments for this course.

Course Modules

• EA103B - General Legislative Requirements (Management Representative)
  • Investigate and identify State / Federal Legislation
  • Business structure, workplace relations, human resources, and marketplace
  • Analyse intent and implications of legislation
  • Establish operational plans, policies, and compliance systems
• EA102 - Establishing a Contracting Business (Management Representative)
  • Evaluate business performance and structure factors
  • Develop a marketing plan for a contracting business
  • Analyse labour costs and profit margins

RPL Assessment

If you are able to demonstrate more than 5 years of experience operating a business, you may be eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for EA102. Please contact the office to assess your eligibility.

Language, Literacy & Numeracy Requirement (LLN)

Participants must have general (Level 2) language, literacy, numeracy, and physical capabilities to meet the performance criteria of this unit. Please contact the office if you have any concerns.
